bareMinerals recently had a launch event for the release of its new Marvelous Moxie lip range.
Launching on June 6th, the new range is composed of 42 new lip shades in the form of glosses, lipsticks and lipliners. I have swatched and reviewed some items from the collection below; all items from the range are priced at £16.
The lipsticks in the Marvelous Moxie collection are available in 18 vibrant shades. They contain an infusion of minerals to revitalise lips, vitamin A, C and E complex, a moisture-loaded hydrating complex and abyssinian oil and omega fatty acids for smoothness. With my penchant for pale lips, Speak Your Mind (far right swatch) has become my new everyday lipstick. I find that it provides such long lasting hydration that my lips are always feeling really soft, even when I am not wearing it.
My usual crib with hydrating lip colours is that they are not long lasting but the Marvelus Moxie gives me really extended coverage without needing a top up. A couple of nights I have been naughty and not removed my makeup to find myself waking up to the lipstick intact. It is really fabulous and absolutely worth £16.
The new lip glosses come in 14 shades and contain an infusion of minerals, naturally-derived shea, avocado and murumuru butters to deeply hydrate and smooth lips. They are not as long wearing as he lipsticks but I love how richly they are pigmented and don’t feel very sticky on the lips like most glosses – which is a feeling I hate and it puts me off glosses. The applicator is perfectly shaped to make application quick and easy. I personally am not a big lip gloss wearer but if you like glosses then I would definitely recommend buying this.
There are 10 lipliner shades available which lock in colour for long-lasting wear, while smoothing on a precise line. They glide on very smoothly and last for hours; I usually line and fill my lip in with the liner before applying the Marvelous Moxie lipstick to keep the colour lasting vibrantly all day. I think if the formula was a little creamier, the lip liners would be perfect. But I do find that the lip liners are not as hydrating as the lipstick and glosses in the range.
I would love to hear from you guys, what do you think of the swatches? Do you think you will be buying these when they are out next month?
